System Design

Requested bandwidth not guaranteed. With 1× OLTH 4-01 (4 GPON ports), each port serves — endpoints. At 50 % concurrency the sustainable per-endpoint capacity is ≈ — Mbps — below the requested — Mbps.
Bandwidth Estimation
Estimated bandwidth exceeds 1 Gbps — verify ISP uplink capacity.
Estimation methodology
Endpoints do not map 1:1 to rooms; a single endpoint can supply multiple rooms or units depending on bandwidth demand.
Dividing the estimated bandwidth by the per-user demand (— Mbps × — headroom = —), this configuration serves up to — concurrent active users.
Based on hospitality bandwidth planning best practices per HTNG and Broadband Forum TR-126. Concurrency, occupancy, and headroom factors reflect industry-standard assumptions for hotel/resort deployments.

About GPON optical classes (ITU-T G.984.2)
ITU-T G.984.2 defines optical budget classes for GPON. Each class specifies the OLT transmit power, ONU receiver sensitivity window, and max allowable path loss. When OLT and ONU belong to different classes, the effective budget is limited by the weaker end of the link.
| Class | OLT Tx | ONU Rx sens | Max path loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | −3…+2 dBm | −23 dBm | 20 dB |
| B | −2…+3 dBm | −26 dBm | 25 dB |
| B+ | +1.5…+5 dBm | −27/−28 dBm | 28 dB |
| C+ | +3…+7 dBm | −30 dBm | 32 dB |
| C++ | +4.5…+10 dBm | −31 dBm | 35+ dB |
Your configuration:
- OLT (—) — Class —: Tx
— dBm, Rx— dBm(upstream) - Endpoint (—) — Class —: Rx sensitivity
— dBm, overload— dBm - Downstream max loss (budget):
— - Downstream min loss (to avoid overload):
— - Wavelengths: 1490 nm downstream · 1310 nm upstream
